IEEE is an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us and penetrates us.

In uncertain times, people need an organization to provide alternative life experiences and something reliable.  I believe IEEE Region 6 is that brand that will serve the student and professional engineering members.  The members create these experiences and hold regular events and meetings.  My relationships with these members and vast IEEE and professional experience will enable IEEE Region 6 to be the vocal cheerleader of innovation, collaboration, boldness, member satisfaction, and most of all, fun!

 

I have gotten to know the region well and want to return the favor by leading it forward by growing our successful conferences and attracting new and diverse volunteers to think outside the box and be our new leaders of tomorrow.

 

As IEEE Region 6 Director, I will actively:

·        Engage local volunteers & members and industry

·        Deploy effective virtual interactions and connect with members

·        Fund professional, government, and student activities

·        Support smaller sections, Young Professionals/Women in Engineering, and student branches

·        Recognize people/groups who use their IEEE superpowers for good.

·        Most importantly: Listen.
